Hey Everybody,
I hope you guys are all doing great. I’m here at the studio, just finished up my
last day of guitars for a little while, Paul is coming in tomorrow to start his
Bass tracks and i will be doing Piano/synths stuff and starting Vocals. I really
can’t tell you guys how exciting it is getting. We moved studios this week to
cause we found this little studio, a little out of the way, that has a really
unique vibe and all kinds of great gear. same studio where STP made Plush.
I have to thank you guys for all the replies to the last blog post i put up.
Really made a difference to me. Joel and I actually wrote a song after reading
them and it’s gonna be the first song on the record. I am going to make sure to
include all the lyrics in the record cause the lyrics are just really special to
me and you all are a part of them, it’s the only way we really know how to say
what we are feeling and the ONLY way we really know how to say thanx. I can’t
explain what a difference it makes knowing that you are all behind us. We can’t
lose as long as we go with our hearts and put our souls in it. and that’s what
we are doing.
NOW I promised you guys another one of these MONTHS AGO. By now I’m sure you
probably thought it was just saying it, but hey i have been trying to get this
record done. So last night i stayed late and did this one. I picked one of my
favorite songs ever. "Between the Bars" by Elliot Smith from his 1997 record
either/or. He is one of my favorite songwriters ever. this song has been covered
by a few people who did it really well. and i hope i didn’t ruin it for anyone,
i just really love this song and thought if I could turn any of you on to Elliot
Smith, that’d be a great thing. He was a really interesting guy. I really wish
he was still around, record after record, every song was good and he knew how to
write lyrics like no one else. This song has gotten me thru some down times. I
promise you if you check out an Elliot Smith record you won’t regret it. As
always i didn’t have too much do this one but i hope some of you enjoy it and at

Now the Clue. Soon we’ll Be making a Tour Announcement. We have our 1st tour of
the year all set. The line up is great, A tour you won’t want to miss. But we
have to wait for the go ahead to make it official. All of us are psyched to get
back on the road and play and as always come out after the shows and say hey to
you guys. With the website how it is now and twitter we are gonna be able to
keep in close touch with you guys, more then ever. And we are really gonna try
and take the blog to the next level in the coming months.
As i have made this record i keep imagining you guys putting in your headphones
and turning on your ipods to listen to it for the 1st time and i keep asking
myself, what are the things i want to say to you, in that moment, when it’s just
YOU and ME. That is what matters the most to me on this record. You have been
with us for 10 years now. Some less,Some more. All of u equally important, and
in that moment, I want you to feel the connection i am trying to make with you.
It’s what has gotten me thru all the challenges in my life, this music and it’s
what we share. I hope you will feel it. From beginning to end. In the Emotional
songs, the party songs, the ballads, the rockers and the Anthems.
You are all on my mind everyday here. I know you can’t please everyone, but this
GC FAM is what has been keeping me going in my life for sometime now. So this
one really is for you and i hope you know it. In that moment i described, when
it’s me and you, remember this post. Love you guys, and i don’t take for granted
the love and support you have given us, and all the memories we have. I’m not
saying i will never let you down, i will try my best not to, but no matter what
ever happens or is said or done, this is our heart. Ok?! Ahhhhhhh SO serious
